2 credits for each PDA/CEU course

Enrollment for a single course: $50

In this session, Prof Guo Zhiqiang’s experience in the treatment of infertility will be introduced in detail. A special four-step treatment approach and series of principles was developed based on TCM theories and periodic change of gonadal hormones according to the mechanism of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. In menstruation period, attention is paid to promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, then from the 4th day of menstruation cycle to ovulation, effort is made to nourish the kidney and liver in order to grow high quality eggs in ovaries. If ovulation is abnormal, herbs to promote ovulation will be added. Then in the pre-menstruation period, effort will be made to nourish kidney and spleen together to ensure the implantation of fertilized eggs. The treatment for each stage of the menstrual circle can also facilitate the success of the IVF-ET procedure, especially for those with problematic ovulation, endometrium or recurrent miscarriage due to immunological factors. Tailored herb formula for each stage of the menstrual cycle based on Prof Guo and Dr Wang’s experience will be introduced.
