Marshall, Anita Chen
Dr. Anita Chen Marshall is the founder and director
of Sequoia Healing Center. She has dual doctoral degrees in Clinical Pharmacy and Oriental Medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in California and Hawaii; certified nationally in Acupuncture and Herbology (Dipl. O.M. by NCCAOM).
In addition to her private practice in Alameda, she has been giving lectures and teaching a course on Herb and Drug Interactions for the last 15 years in various TCM schools in the U.S. including the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at CIIS, S.F.; Five Branches University, San Jose & YoSan University, L.A.
Her book chapter “Traditional Chinese Medicine
and Clinical Pharmacology” from the textbook “Drug Discoveries and Evaluation: Method to Clinical Pharmacology” (2020) was among the Springer Nature 2020 Highlights –a selection of the most popular articles
and book chapters published in 2020 and reflecting top research that made an impact.
Qin, Guozheng
Medical Ph.D., Professor, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, former President of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and serves as the academic leader of TCM Andrology, a national key clinical discipline of TCM. He has published more than 130 academic papers throughout his career. Specialties include diagnosis and treatment of infertility, prostate disease, sexual dysfunction, epididymis and testicular disease, urinary stones, refractory urinary tract infection, overactive bladder and other andrology and urinary system diseases, as well as epilepsy, allergic purpura, inner ear vertigo, chronic gastritis, phlebitis, lymphadenitis, herpes zoster, eczema, thyroid disease, bone hyperplasia, irregular menstruation, infertility, pediatric tuberculosis and other difficult diseases in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, dermatology, and pediatrics.

Under the tutelage of academicians Wang Yongyan and Wang Qi, as well as TCM Grandmaster Xiao Chengji, Dr. Liu mainly engaged in clinical and pharmacological research of reproductive system diseases. He has undertaken more than 10 national-level projects, published 101 scientific research papers, won 2 provincial and ministerial awards, and obtained 3 national invention patents.

Medical Ph.D., Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, President of Longhua Hospital (Affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). He has long been engaged in clinical research on genitourinary and nervous system diseases with acupuncture and moxibustion. Tian, Haihe
Dr. Haihe Tian received his Ph.D. degree in Chinese medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in China and was mentored by internationally known experts in TCM. He then taught and practiced TCM in the affiliated hospital of Beijing University of TCM. Dr. Tian has been a practitioner and professor in the United States since 1997, serving as academic dean and clinical director at the TCM school in Tampa Bay, FL.Dr. Tian has published 40 professional papers and 20 medical books as an author or co-author, is a book reviewer for Acupuncture Today, and is the President of ATCMA.

Dr. Wei first graduated from medical school in 1990 as an MD in China. Then she worked as a pulmonary physician before returning to school to become an Acupuncture Physician, specializing in both modern and traditional approaches. She moved to the United States in 2000 and obtained her acupuncture license after which she practiced Acupuncture in Florida for several years. Since 2007, her clinic has been located in Lake Worth, FL and she uses her 30 years of medical experience to treat patients with a variety of conditions. Dr. Wei is the Executive Vice President of ATCMA.

Xu, Bin
Dr. Xu earned his Ph.D. in Medicine and Microbiology from Kanazawa Medical University in Uchinada, Japan. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the State University of New York where he conducted research on the effect of natural herbal inhibitors on oncogenic tyrosine kinases. He was also a medical acupuncturist at the University Hospital Medical Center/SUNY at Stony Brook, as well as a cancer research scientist at the International Bioimmune System laboratory in Great Neck, New York. Dr. Xu is the recipient of the Japan International Education Award and is currently the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Continuing Education Department Director.

Since her role as a professor at the Shanghai University of T.C.M., Dr. Hu has served as the President of the American Association of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and as the Vice Chair of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies. Dr. Hu is also an editor of the Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine. She has been practicing as a clinical acupuncturist for over 35 years, most recently in Sacramento, California.

Dan Litwin, AP is the chair of the FSOMA Advocacy Committee planning events like Acupuncture Education Day and other exhibiting events to educate and promote Asian medicine. He studied at the New York College of Health Professions, where he also taught for five years the fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the School’s massage program. Daniel is set to complete his Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in February 2022.
Lyttleton, Jane
Jane Lyttleton began her studies in science in NZ and then London with doctoral studies in genetics before succumbing to the siren song of Chinese medicine. She is author of the acclaimed Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine, published in 2004 (2nd ed 2013) by Elsevier Science and now in its 7th reprint in English, and several other languages. She has lectured at universities in Australia and the UK, and has taught courses and seminars in the treatment of infertility to doctors in Australia, Canada, China, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand and Britain. She has presented at IVF conferences in California and Sydney.
Nugent, Beth
Dr. Beth Nugent began her journey into medicine at age 18 as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York City. After many years of working in the western medical field, she sought a more integrative approach to healing, leading her to Acupuncture. Dr. Nugent studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, and holds an M.S. in Oriental Medicine from the NY College of health professions. During her career, Dr. Nugent has traveled to Nepal to provide acupuncture to earthquake survivors and victims of human trafficking, to Greece to treat Syrian and Afghan refugees and volunteers in the region, as well as Puerto Rico to treat people impacted by Hurricane Maria. She currently serves as the president of the Acupuncture Society of New York

Santao Wang is a registered acupuncturist in Quebec, Canada, the Director of Quebec Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a Board Member of the World TCM Forum. She is also the Deputy Secretary General of Acupotomy Medical Association of Canada. Hsu Friedman, Olivia
Dr. Olivia Hsu Friedman earned her Doctorate of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. In her practice, Amethyst Holisitc Skin Solutions, she specializes in treating both chronic and acute skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, topical steroid withdrawal (TSW), psoriasis, and other disorders. She is also a Chair of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA) and a member and former Vice Presidents of the Illinois Society of Acupuncturists.

Dr. Yinong Chong is a Mayo Clinic certified wellness coach. She earned a PhD in Sociology from Arizona State University, her MA in Journalism from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and her BS in English Literature from Beijing University. She also holds a graduate certificate in Research Methodology from the University of Maryland, and was a post doctorate fellow at CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service. She is also a co-founder of Traditional Chinese Institute International and a highly sought public speaker on the topics of health, wellness, culture, and transformation.
Jin Hong Liu, John
John Jin Hong Liu received his bachelor degree from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, and his master's and doctorate degrees from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. With 35 years experience in TCM, he successfully appliedunique acupuncture and Chinese medicine target treatment to cancer and RA, published up to seventy scholarly essays in professional magazines, and wrote 3 professional books. Now he is the principal of John & Jenny TCM College and the president of the TCM Cancer Center of Canada.
Roofener, Galina
Dr. Galina Roofener holds board-certified credentials in Florida & Ohio as a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist and worked at the Cleveland Clinic where she was a major contributor to the development of the Chinese Herbal Therapy Program. As a result, Cleveland Clinic garnered global attention as being one of the first major medical institutions to open a hospital-based herbal clinic in the United States. In so doing, this provided even broader access to supplementary options for patients seeking an integrative approach to their care. She has a special interest in integrative, preventative, and rehabilitation medicine.
Settels, Phil
Dr. Settels earned his Master's in TCM at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS) and later completed his DAOM in 2020 after traveling throughout the US and China to learn from the best teachers available. During private practice, he specialized in treating pain and orthopedic conditions, as well as complex and chronic diseases (such as autoimmune disorders, digestive issues, neurological conditions, endocrine disorders, etc.). After several years in clinical practice, Dr. Settels returned to ACCHS to teach for the Master's and Doctorate programs and is now the Dean of Academics of the Doctorate Program.
